MARY LOU (DRAHOZAL) SANBORN

Mary Lou (Drahozal) Sanborn, 79, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2017. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Ludmila Catholic Church with Father Kenneth Glaser as celebrant. Friends may call after 9:30 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery. Papich-Kuba Funeral Service is serving the family.
Mary Ludmila Drahozal was born Jan. 9, 1938, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Rudolph and Bridget (Hruska) Drahozal. She graduated from St. Wenceslaus High School and Mount Mercy College Department of Nursing. She retired from Mercy Medical Center.
Survivors include her daughter, Laurie (Jon) Neuwohner, and their daughters, Faith and Erin; and a son, Scott (Donna) Sanborn, and their children, Emily and Ryan. She also is survived by five siblings and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Thomas, in infancy; a brother, Ed, and a sister-in-law, Shirley Drahozal.
Memorials can be given to St. Ludmila Catholic Church or to a charity to benefit the homeless and hungry in our community.
