Carol Ann Nus (Gust) of Marion, IA, passed away on December 21, 2024, at home in the company of her children.
Family will receive friends from 9:00 until 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at New City Church, 5335 Midway Dr NW, Cedar Rapids. Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. and a meal following. Teahen Funeral Home is caring for Carol and her family.
Carol graduated from Arlington High School in 1962. On September 5, 1964, she married Carl Nus. Carl and Carol were married 34 years until Carl died in November 1998. Carol graduated from Rhema Bible School in 2003, and served as a mission pastor in Zimbabwe, Africa. In 2012, she returned to the United States and retired in Marion.
Carol is survived by her four children: Ted (Susan) of Ankeny, IA; John (Mary) of Hiawatha, IA; Paul (Andrea) of Cedar Rapids, IA; and Jennifer Yarrow (Chris) of Cedar Falls, IA. She was grandmother to Katherine, Laura, Jeremiah (Molly), Kendall Nus, and Emma Yarrow. Carol is also survived by her three brothers: Richard (Dorothy) Gust of Shreveport, LA; Roger (Doris) Gust of Pendleton, IN; and Gene Gust of Freeport, FL, along with many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to New City Church missions or a cause meaningful to your faith, reflecting how Carol lived her life.
