I don’t get it! Maybe I’m stupid. But could someone please explain to me why the legislature and the Board of Regents are so focused on “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion?” Is there something wrong with wanting variety, fairness, and equal access for all people? That’s all those words mean. Why do the legislators spend hours and hours (read money) on pursuing this? It’s kind of like their obsession with trans people, who amount to less than 1% of the population. Do they really want only white straight people, unfairness, and exclusion of all others? I guess that is what they want. Silly me!
