Francis Sullivan, 80, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Monday at St. Luke’s Hospital, in Cedar Rapids. Celebration of Life services will be at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City. Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre will be assisting the family at this time.
Francis was born on November 6, 1944, in Sioux City, the son of Harold and Irene (Fuller) Sullivan. He graduated from Sergeant Bluff High School, class of 1964. Francis served in the United States Army. He was united in marriage to Sharon Jones on December 23, 1972, in Sioux City. He worked at Goss Manufacturing for over 27 years. Francis was an auto enthusiast and enjoyed rolling dice with family.
Francis is survived by his loving wife Sharon; his children Renae Witham, Shari Bertling and Donald (Melinda) Sullivan; six grandchildren Danielle Kendrick, Lenae (Shelby) Mitchell, Dillon Witham, Katie (Aspen) McIntosh, Everett Sullivan and Henry Sullivan; six great-grandchildren; his sisters Teresa (Bob) Listman, Kathy (Doug) Habben; his sister-in-law Marilyn Eyer; as well as his nieces and nephews.
Francis was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Karen (Dan) Burke and Sharon (Francis) Hansen, siblings-in-law Frances (Merlin) Tucker, Ardith (Lloyd) Satterwhite, Darrell (Judy) Jones, Ronald (Joan) Jones, Earl (Sharon) Jones and John Eyer.
