Bryan Beaugez, 56, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017, at Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha. Visitation: 5 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 8, at New Life Community Church, Marion, with a sharing of memories at 7:30 p.m. Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids, is caring for Bryan and his family.
Survivors include his partner, Les West; sister, Karen Garman; Les's family; and many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family members.
Bryan Keith Beaugez was born May 16, 1961, in Biloxi, Miss., to Orie and Nancy (King) Beaugez. After a hurricane, Bryan moved away from Mississippi to Colorado, then to Iowa. He met Les through their shared love of karaoke. Bryan worked at several various jobs, including home security and test proctoring until chronic illness prevented him from working.
He enjoyed reading, especially Discworld, singing karaoke, watching movies, board games, Mystery Science Theater, trivia and factoids, and loved dogs.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Nannette, Linda and Bobby.
