MARION — Crab Attack Seafood Kitchen & Bar in Marion has announced plans to close after four years in business.
The seafood restaurant’s last day open at 796 11th St. will be Dec. 28.
“From the very beginning, Crab Attack Seafood Kitchen has not just been a restaurant; it's been a gathering place filled with laughter, stories, and unforgettable flavors,” the owners said in a social media statement posted Dec. 15. “Many of you have become part of our family, and it breaks our hearts to know we’ll no longer be serving you in the same way.”
The owners said they closed to take advantage of an undefined “unique opportunity that we couldn’t pass up.”
But those seeking their flavors will still be able to find them, they said. The restaurant’s seasonings and sauces will be available at a local grocery store in a deal to be announced soon.
Crab Attack moved from Cedar Rapids to Uptown Marion in December 2023. It originally opened in April 2020 at 1117 First Ave. SE in Cedar Rapids.
