IOWA CITY — Iowa defensive lineman Chase Brackney has entered the transfer portal, he announced Tuesday evening on social media.
Brackney, a former three-star recruit in the 2023 class, did not see any game action in his two seasons with the Hawkeyes. The 6-foot-4 defensive end from Cherry Creek, Colo., originally chose Iowa over offers from USC, Nebraska and Colorado, among others.
Brackney is the third Iowa defensive lineman on scholarship to enter the portal this year, following Jeff Bowie and Caden Crawford. None of the three were on the Hawkeyes’ two-deeps at any point during the 2024 season.
