Ava Francesca Blakey was born in Cedar Rapids, IA on Dec. 22, 2004, and passed on Sunday Nov. 24th, 2024. A Celebration of Life will be in the spring of 2025.
She is survived by her Mother Andrea Blakey, brothers Cyrus, Kalel, Seven, Rick & Jerell, Grandfather Amity Blakey III, her Great Aunt Joyce, Uncle Adam and Uncle AJ, Aunt Amanda Blakey, close cousin and friend Marty Blakey, Great Grandmother Olga Dixon, Great Aunt Rebecca Dixon of San Antonio, Texas and many Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her Grandmother Pamela Blakey and her sister Aaliyah.
Ava graduated with Honors from City High School in Iowa City, IA in 2023 and attended Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, IA.
She was an avid reader and passionate about writing. She enjoyed writing short stories and dreamed of becoming a published author one day.
She was very intelligent, funny and loving. We enjoyed her loud laughs and generous hugs.
Ava was growing into a beautiful and kind woman, and we all feel blessed to have loved her and been loved by her.
She is greatly missed.
