Edwin Eugene Eiselstein, 71, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017, at
his home. Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21, at the funeral home. Burial: Anderson Cemetery, Swisher.
Survivors include his sons, Casey and Brent (Melissa) Eiselstein; grandchildren, Dane Moriconi and Aubrey, Jaden and Luke Eiselstein; siblings, Alberta (Joe) Clark and Allen Eiselstein; several nieces and nephews; and the men of his Bible Fellowship Group.
Ed was born to Richard and Ethel (Grim) Eiselstein in Muscatine, Iowa, on Oct. 18, 1946. He grew up on the family farm in Olin. Ed served his country in the U.S. Navy. Ed worked for Weyerhaeuser and then International Paper. His corny jokes endeared him to many at the Swisher Legion and with his Bible group. He enjoyed his motorcycles and hot rods, and was a Western movie fan.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents.
