Bunny Fritch, 74, passed away peacefully Dec. 12, 2017.
Visitation will be held Friday, Dec. 15, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Wesley United Methodist Church in Vinton. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. at Wesley United Methodist Church on Saturday, Dec. 16, with the Rev. Sue Thomas officiating.
Brenda Jean "Bunny" Fritch was born May 13, 1943, in Vinton, Iowa, the daughter of Dale and Irene Albert Geiger. She grew up in rural Garrison and graduated from Garrison High School in 1961. In 1965, she graduated from the University of Iowa and married Paul Feller. She was a dedicated mom to three children with Paul: Stephanie (Jeff) Whitehead of Coralville, Eric (Jean) Feller of Oxford and Andy (Kim) Feller of Troy, Ill. Paul and Bunny divorced in 1976.
Bunny was a lifelong educator in the Vinton school district. She was an active member of Wesley United Methodist Church and choir and enjoyed photography, her cats and reading. Bunny was very active in ACT 1 of Benton County theatre productions.
In 2006, she married Gene Fritch and the couple lived near Atkins, where she was the educational coordinator at Bloomsbury Farms during her retirement. She was a dedicated wife to her husband, Gene; survived by his children, Greg and Jenny; a loving and caring daughter to her mother, Irene, of Vinton; a passionate mother and grandmother to her daughter, Stephanie, and her husband, Jeff, and their children, Tyler, Laynie, Maddie, Griffin, Cam and Hallie; sons, Eric Feller and his wife, Jean, and their children, Ken, Alec, Brady, Kaylee, Jay, Gabby and Olivia, and Andy Feller and his wife, Kim, and their children, Lexi and Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dale; her brother, Glen; and sister, Bev Fiebelkorn.
