JAMES F. WRIGHT
Kirkwood, Ill.
James F. Wright, 77, formerly of Kirkwood, Ill., died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017, in Orlando, Fla., following complications from heart surgery.
He was born Dec. 16, 1939, in Keokuk County, Iowa. He graduated from Webster High School and then served three years in the U.S. Army. He married Judith Rush in 1963. They made their home in Kirkwood, Ill., and he worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad for 37 years.
He was an avid golfer, and a fan of the Green Bay Packers, St. Louis Cardinals and Iowa Hawkeyes.
He is survived by three children, Christine Wright of Portland, Ore., Jeff (Paula) Wright of Ramsey, Ill., and Justin (Meghan) Wright of Fort Worth, Texas; five grandchildren; and a brother, Kenneth (Butch) Wright, and sister, Denise Wright, both of Sigourney.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, Nov. 24, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth, Ill.
Memorials may be made to the Monmouth Park District or donor's choice.
