Semi driver dies in crash on Interstate 80 in Johnson County

The driver of a semi-trailer truck died early Wednesday after veering off the road in Johnson County, according to a crash report from the Iowa State Patrol.
Jeremy Rogers, 25, of Nashville Tenn., was driving a Volvo truck just after 5 a.m. Wednesday east on Interstate 80 between the exits for N. Dubuque Street and N. Dodge Street. According to the crash report, he drove off the highway for an unknown reason and the truck hit a guardrail and then went into a ditch, rolling onto the driver’s side.
Rogers died in the crash.
The truck belonged to Vysnia Global Transport, a trucking company out of Elk Grove Village, Ill., the State Patrol report states.
