Richard Thomas Haselhoff, 69, of Tiffin, IA formerly of Bloomfield, IA died peacefully on Sunday, November 3, 2024. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at Lensing’s Oak Hill, 210 Holiday Road, Coralville, IA, 52241. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Humane Society of the U.S.
Richard was born on October 15, 1955, the son of Alvin and Rowena (Mitchell) Haselhoff. He graduated from Davis County Community High School and attended College at the NE Missouri State Teachers College and The University of Iowa. Richard was a baker for Hy-Vee in Iowa City and then Centerville IA after relocating to Bloomfield, IA.
Richard loved to watch sports, and when he was picking his fantasy football team, he always picked the Iowa and Iowa State players. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Richard loved playing games with his family, especially Canasta, where he was most likely to win.
Richard is survived by his three siblings, Mary Tymeson of Ames, IA, Bernard “John” Haselhoff of El Paso, TX and Donald Haselhoff of Prescott, AZ; niece, Rachel Richardson of Tiffin, IA and Will Tymeson of Ankeny, IA; and many extended family. Richard was preceded in death by his parents.
