Badara Diakite, a 6-foot-10 forward from Bloomfield, Conn., has verbally committed to join the Iowa men’s basketball program in 2025.

Diakite made the announcement Tuesday on Instagram. He chose the Hawkeyes over Boston College and Washington.

He moved to the U.S. from Mali in 2020. The 247Sports Composite ranks Diakite 129th in the 2025 class. He attends South Kent School in Connecticut.
