Marilyn Jean (Hamilton) Peck of West Liberty passed away on November 8, 2024. She was born June 14, 1932 in Emeline, Iowa to Helen (Babcock) and Clayton Hamilton. She grew up in Jackson and Jones County, graduating from Wyoming High School in 1950. She worked as a secretary.
Marilyn was married in 1951 to Romeyn Herbert “Tad” Peck and they had five children together before later divorcing.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her son Richard “Ric” Peck and daughter-in-law Wendy Peck, her parents, siblings Ross Hamilton and Mona Mylhousen, brothers-in-law Bob Myhlhousen and Donovan “Mike” Mead.
She is survived by her children, Martha (Delbert) Knight, Mary (Doug) Lenoch, Marlene (Jay) Lenoch and Robb (Debbie) Peck, eleven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter, her sisters Jane (Bob) Hansen and Judy Mead, sister-in-law Mary “Frosty” Hamilton, and her good friends Bonnie Tripses and Cinda Welk.
No services are planned. The family would like to thank Dr. Hanna, Iowa City Hospice and Simpson Memorial Home for their care of Marilyn. Cards may be sent to 1417 Franklin St., Iowa City, IA 52240.
