Carey Lee Olson, 60, of Des Moines, formerly of Ely, died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2024. Burial will be 2 p.m. Nov. 18 at the VA Cemetery in Adel, Iowa.
Carey is survived by his children Jake, Kathy and Brody; brothers Carl (Lora), Mike (Becky) and Mark (Dee); uncle and aunt Fred & Avis Von Ruden; and longtime friends Elizabeth Davis & Kathy Cowles.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mitch & Barb Olson.
