CORALVILLE — A new shop with novel treats has opened at Coral Ridge Mall in Coralville.
I Love Mochi, opened Oct. 18, offering Asian-inspired treats like Korean corn dogs, mochi doughnuts, mochi ice cream, sweet waffle pops, and Fruit Lemon Splash beverages in flavors like mango, passion fruit and raspberry.
The new shop is a rarity for mochi in the Corridor, as well as Korean corn dogs.
Mochi is a sticky, doughy rice cake often molded into smooth mounds. Mochi can be served in various colors and stuffed with ice cream or other ingredients. The sweet Japanese treat is usually eaten as a snack, or for dessert.
