Helen Seifert, 92, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Sunday, Dec. 24, 2017, at the Solon Care Nursing Home. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Inurnment will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Helen is survived by her son, Don Seifert Jr; two grandchildren, Michelle Arnold and Robert Seifert; and four great-grandchildren, Zach Wilson, Austin Denison, Jacquelynn Denison and Emma Seifert.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Seifert Sr.; daughter-in-law, Rita Mulholland; and two brothers.
Helen Seifert was born July 12, 1925, in Lawrence, Kan., the daughter of Earl and Mildred Higgens. She married Donald Seifert Sr. on Nov. 30, 1946. She worked at New Process Laundry as a seamstress for 22 years.
Helen loved riding horses, doing crafts, gardening and embroidery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the family.
