Isabelle E. Chadim, 98, of Davenport, formerly of Robins, passed away Friday, Oct. 13, 2017, at ManorCare Health Services-Utica Ridge, Davenport, following a brief illness.
A funeral service celebrating her life will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18,
at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Burial will be in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel.
Survivors include her daughter, Cheryl (Dale) Corrigan of Bettendorf; grandson, Jeff (Kirsten) Corrigan of Marion; and great-grandson, Ryan Corrigan of Marion.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1976; and two brothers, George and Harold Atwater.
Isabelle Elvira Atwater was born April 28, 1919, in Marion, Iowa, the daughter of Donald and Ethel (Kensinger) Atwater. On June 6, 1940, she married Robert Chadim at the United Methodist Church in Marion. Isabelle moved from Robins to Bettendorf, then lived at Palmer Hills and Luther Heights in Bettendorf. She loved meeting people and making new friends, dancing, watching Lawrence Welk, bingo and eating at Bishop's.
Memorial donations may be given in her name to the Arc of East Central Iowa, 680 Second St. SE, No. 200, Cedar Rapids, IA 52401.
