The Iowa House and Senate are controlled by Republicans so our local statehouse officials, no matter how hard they may try, don’t have a seat at the decision table. It’s time for that to change, and Kris Gulick is the leader who can make that change happen. I’ve known Kris for more than 20 years. As a CPA and business owner, Kris has dedicated his career to solving problems and making sound financial decisions. His leadership as a former Cedar Rapids City Council member shows his commitment to serving our community with integrity and independence.
Party politics do not bind Kris; he’s an independent thinker focused on fiscal responsibility and building strong local communities. He’s the kind of representative who will fight for policies that benefit our district and our communities, rather than simply toeing the party line. Kris understands the needs of small businesses, families and local governments, and has the expertise to bring about meaningful change. Kris will not support the efforts to ban books or other partisan positions that undermine local government and local control.
Let’s get a local voice back at the table in the State Capitol. If you’re ready for an independent leader who works for you, vote for Kris Gulick.
