A.J. (Jerry) Coenen Brown III, 53, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died unexpectedly in Camarillo, California, on October 14, 2024. He was born on November 15, 1970, in Ponce, Puerto Rico, to A.J. Brown II and Francia (Carrier) Brown. He attended Wahlert Catholic High School, followed by Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 1992.
He was united in marriage with Holly Conway on May 22nd, 1993, in Dubuque, Iowa. Together, they had four children: Michaela, August, Kesson, and Cathryn.
Jerry was a stay-at-home dad for several years before founding Blue Sky Productions. He was a lifetime member of the Catholic Church. He was a charismatic, generous, and sensitive person. Jerry loved music, film, and a good beer.
He is survived and missed by his children and siblings: Dori Brown of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Brian (Mariah) Brown of Amherst, Wisconsin; Michael (Lindsay) Brown of Norwalk, Iowa; and Meghan (Chad) Brown of Santa Cruz, California. He is also survived by his Auntie Tina Phillips of Salinas, California.
He was preceded in death by his parents, A.J. Brown II and Francia (Carrier) Brown, and his grandparents, Bernie and Sarah Campos.
Jerry will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His kind spirit will carry on.
He is to be buried in Oxnard, California, at Santa Clara Mortuary.
