Willard Frederick Cram, 90, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2017, at Heritage Specialty Care in Cedar Rapids. A private family service will be held at a later date. Willard will be interred with his wife, Kathleen, at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Willard was born Jan. 3, 1927, in St. Paul, Minn., the son of Melvin and Bertha (Svor) Cram. Willard was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1945. He attended Dunwoody Industrial Institute and was a draftsman at Rockwell Collins until his retirement.
Survivors include his brother, David (Mary) Cram and their families from Minnesota; daughter, Bonnie (Ben) Wichers of Tucson, Ariz.; three sons, Steve (Jean) Cram and Dennis (Nancy) Cram, both of Cedar Rapids, and Gregory Willard (Patty) Cram of Los Angeles, Calif.; five grandchildren, Kathryn (Brent) Koenig and Kevin (Angela) Wichers of Tucson, Lucas Cram of Los Angeles, Sarah (Ben) Driscoll and Martin (Katie) Cram, both of Cedar Rapids; eight great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Rose Stratton of Maquoketa.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen (Sharp) Cram, in 2003; and two brothers, Alan and Melvin Cram.
Will enjoyed golf and woodworking. He made intricate scroll saw creations, which he shared with his family and friends. Will was a kind and gentle person who will be missed by all who knew him.
The family wishes to thank Heritage Specialty Care for the outstanding love and support the gave Will and his family over the past few years.
