Monica Eggers, 51, of Palo, died Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017,
at Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha. Celebration of Life: 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, at Palo Community Center. Monica generously donated her body to Des Moines University. Burial will take place at a later date.
Survivors include her beloved children, Marissa (Tanner) Wellik, Miranda Eggers and Jerod Eggers, all of Palo; parents, Gerald "Jerry" and Connie Alderson of Cedar Rapids; brother, Sean (Shelly) Alderson of Fairfax; niece, Jesse; former spouse, Jeff Eggers of Cedar Rapids; and many extended family members and friends.
Monica Maureen Alderson was born Sept. 21, 1966, to Gerald and Connie (Sheppard) Alderson in Cedar Rapids. She graduated from Washington High School in 1985.
Monica was preceded in death by her grandparents.
