Loreen Kay Boots, 68, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, October 10, 2024, at home surrounded by family. Private services are being held at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Richard Boots, her children, Richard (Maegan) Boots of Vinton, Iowa, Brandie Tamborski of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Cherie Allnutt of Shellsburg, Iowa and Paula Herman of Shellsburg, Iowa, her siblings, Jim Meyers of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Dennis (Janice) Meyers of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Sharon (Larry) Eister of Tiffin, Iowa. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Loreen was born on July 5, 1956, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Emil and Shirley (Armitage) Meyers. She was united in marriage to Paul Richard Boots. Loreen enjoyed her cooking shows, going to the casino and playing bingo. She loved her cats and her dog Ruby, and always made sure the birds, squirrels and the stray cats were fed. Loreen showed such strength, courage, and bravery through her battle with cancer. She will be missed by her family but remembered with love.
