Cheryl K. (Brandenburg) Kramer, age 85, of Vinton, IA, passed away at the Vinton Lutheran Home on Sunday, October 6, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
A visitation will be held at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home on Thursday, October 10, 2024, from 5 to 8 PM, and also at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories on Friday, October 11, 2024, from 10 AM until service time at 11 AM with Chaplain Justin Gordon officiating. Inurnment to take place at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery-Memorial Lawn.
Cheryl was born on June 4, 1939, in Oelwein, IA. She was the daughter of the late Finis (Donna) Brandenburg and Darlene (Cletus) Corell. She was a graduate of Strawberry Point High School. Cheryl was an extremely hard worker. She took on many jobs during her lifetime, like being a salesperson for Colonial Bakery, and as the co-owner and operator of Oasis at Last. She loved the outdoors and lived for her family.
Those left to cherish Cheryl’s memory are her children, Kristi (Greg) Schadle, of Keystone, IA, and Kerri (Terry) Benda, of Urbana, IA; her son-in-law Mike Howes, of Dubuque, IA; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Tom) Ebner, Nicole (Jay) Kress, Michelle Benda, Jeremy (Emily) Benda, and Hanna Wegner; her great-grandchildren, Jordan, Alec, Nick, Belle, Kaitlyn, and Charlie; her sister-in-law, Shirley Brandenburg, of Cedar Rapids, IA; her siblings, Bill (Judith) Brandenburg, Judy Hayes, JoAnn (LaVerne) Hammond, Mike (Georgann) Brandenburg, Paul (Patty) Brandenburg, Georgiann (Bob) Meester, Barb (Roger) Oltman, and Neil (Sylvia) Brandenburg. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Kelli Howes, a grandchild, Katrina Howes, and her brother, Richard Brandenburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Compassus and or the Cedar Valley Human Society.
The family would like to thank Cheryl’s extended family at the Vinton Lutheran Home and the entire staff at Compassus Hospice, for all the love and support they showed Cheryl while she was in their care.
