Teresa Kay (Oakley) Albang, 51, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at the Legacy Center in Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids.
Teresa was born on October 14, 1972, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Thomas and Sandra (Svestka) Oakley. She graduated from Regis High School before attending Kirkwood Community College and Capri Cosmetology School. Teresa was a very loving and caring person with an outgoing personality and a love of life. She loved singing and dancing, especially at karaoke with her friends. Teresa will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Teresa is survived and lovingly remembered by her parents, Tom and Sandy Oakley of Shellsburg, Iowa; children, Britian Suarez of Cedar Rapids, Carter Albang of Cedar Rapids, and Dalaina Albang of Cedar Falls, Iowa; siblings, Col. John Oakley of Cedar Rapids, Pete Oakley (Jeannie) of Eaden Prairie, Minnesota, Thor (Mary) Oakley of Ahwatukee, Arizona, Gail (Jessie Carmichael) Oakley of St. Paul, Minnesota, Michelle (Chuck) Lovell of Vinton, Iowa, Tracy (DJ) Rodman of Graham, North Carolina, and Andrea (Ryan) Grimm of Shellsburg; Roger Walters of Shueyville, Iowa; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
