Rok Williams, an artistic, philanthropic, eccentric, quintessential Iowa Citian, passed on Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017. A memorial service will be held on Dec. 17 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at Uptown Bill's Coffee House in Iowa City at 730 S. Dubuque St. Rok's paintings will be exhibited, local family friend and folk group Old Capital String Band will be performing, and of course there will be storytelling about Rok. Anyone touched by Rok's life is encouraged to come.
