Egress issues at Kingston Stadium should not be ignored

Whoever planned the exit strategy for Kingston Stadium events should reconsider their approach. Directing everyone to a single exit creates a bottleneck, making it more likely for altercations to occur rather than preventing them. With four potential exits available, it would be much more efficient to allow a constant flow of people to leave from multiple points. Instead, the current security staff—who are often unhelpful and rude—insist on funneling everyone through one exit.
To make matters worse, the northeast exit, which is designated as a handicapped-accessible entry and exit, is locked, forcing people to walk to the opposite end of the stadium to exit, even when their cars are parked just yards away. This not only inconveniences attendees but could also pose a fire or safety hazard in the event of an emergency.
If this security protocol remains in place, CRCSD should at least consider televising the games to provide an alternative for those who wish to avoid the frustration of the exit process. It’s crucial for someone from CRCSD to address this issue seriously and allow spectators to leave through the same area they entered.
