Carl Fields Jr. (Choppy), 93, passed away in his home at Port St. Lucie, FL.
Formerly from Cedar Rapids, IA, he served in the Army and worked at Quaker Oats for 47 years.
He married Lila Leone Jeffery and had 4 children, Danny (Tina) Fields, Catherine Boyer (Al), Susan Munson (Skully) and Larry Fields (Kelly). He had 7 grandchildren, Holly, Chad, Andrea, Michael, Eric, Sally and Lacey; 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
As his beloved wife passed, he moved to Florida. There he met a special friend, Wilamina Price. He lived his life to the fullest. He loved playing the guitar and singing, golfing, gambling, going on cruises and especially the ocean.
He will be greatly missed by all.
A gravesite service will be held 11 a.m. Oct. 12 at Murdoch’s on Wilson Avenue, followed by a luncheon at Jones Park Pavilion.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father, a sister, brother and two children.
