CEDAR RAPIDS — An Anamosa man was arrested Thursday in Linn County, accused of sexually abusing a child while living in Cedar Rapids in 2017.
Bryan Anthony Garcia, 37, is charged with three counts of second-degree sexual abuse.
According to a criminal complaint, the girl, now 12, told her mother that Garcia had sexually abused her three times in 2017 when the girl and her mother had lived in Cedar Rapids.
She also related the abuse to a forensic interviewer at a children’s advocacy center in Michigan, according to the complaint.
A warrant for Garcia’s arrest was filed Sept. 27.
Garcia had his first appearance in Linn County District Court on Thursday and is being held on a $100,000 cash-only bond in the Linn County Jail. A no-contact order has been filed on behalf of the girl.
