IOWA CITY — Iowa football’s Oct. 12 game against Washington will kick off at 11 a.m., the Big Ten announced on Monday.
The Big Ten later announced after the Week 6 games that Fox will broadcast the game. (The network also considered the Wisconsin-Rutgers game in that time slot.)
The Iowa-Washington game has renewed national interest after the Huskies upset No. 10 Michigan on Saturday.
Next weekend’s game will mark the Hawkeyes’ first game against one of the recent Big Ten additions. ESPN Analytics, as of Monday, gives Iowa a 63.8 percent chance of winning. The Huskies are 3-2 so far this year under new coach Jedd Fisch.
Iowa’s last game against Washington was in 1995, when the Hayden Fry-led Hawkeyes defeated the Huskies in the Sun Bowl.
