Linda K. Zillmer, 73, of Marion, passed from this life on Friday, September 27, 2024, at Heritage Specialty Care in Cedar Rapids. A visitation will be held Monday, September 30, 2024, from 10 AM to noon at the Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona. Following visitation her body will be cremated, and a graveside service will be held Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Sharon Hill Cemetery in Kalona. A memorial fund has been established for the Hospice of Mercy in Hiawatha.
Linda Kay (Gingerich) Zillmer was born October 21, 1950, the daughter of Advin and Hattie (Ledman) Gingerich. She was united in marriage to Lowell Zillmer at the 1st Baptist Church in Wellman on October 27, 1968. Linda worked as a server at Bishops in the Westdale Mall and at Denny’s in Marion. She was a member of the 1st Baptist Church of Marion. Linda enjoyed coloring, watching Westerns on TV, and was a very good cook.
Survivors include her husband Lowell of Marion, one brother Glen Gingerich of Riverside, two sisters-in-law: Shirley Zillmer of Kalona and Linda Hoff of Timberville, VA, and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding Linda in death were her parents and one sister Mary Fritz, and four brothers: Leroy, Ralph, Orval and Lawrence “Jake” Gingerich.
