Roxanne Kay Isaacson, 69, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Monday, September 16, 2024. An informal Celebration of Life/Cookout will be held at 11 a.m. on Sunday, September 29, 2024, at the East Shelter of the Pleasant Creek State Recreation Area near Palo, Iowa.
Roxanne was born on July 27, 1955, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Donald “Don” and Betty (LaVelle) Emerson. After completing her education at Kennedy High School, she pursued a bachelor’s degree in business administration at the University of Iowa. On December 19, 1981, she was united in marriage to Andrew Isaacson in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and they later welcomed their daughter, Melissa. Roxanne took pleasure in viewing classic black-and-white films on TCM, as well as country westerns. Throughout her life, Roxanne dedicated herself to her family while also working at Sears.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Melissa Isaacson; mother, Betty Emerson; siblings Randy (Mary Jo) Emerson, Don (Eileen) Emerson, Devin Emerson, and Theresa (Dave) McLaughlin; and fur babies Cocoa and Maizie.
She was preceded in death by her father.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be in the care of Melissa Isaacson.
