Martha W. Zipsie, 86, of Cedar Rapids, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018, at Northbrook Manor Nursing Home, Cedar Rapids. Per Martha's wishes, her body has been donated to the University of Iowa. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, at Ascension Lutheran Church, Marion, conducted by Pastor Linda Livingston. Burial will take place at Springville Cemetery at a later date.
Martha was born Aug. 23, 1931, in Springville, Iowa, the daughter of Elmer and Grace (Hunte) Wellner. Martha was employed by Wells Fargo Bank as an administrative assistant.
She is survived by her niece, Charissa (Allan) Olson of Thompson; and cousin, Robert (Rita) Hunte of Springville.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Grace Camizzi.
Memorials may be directed to Ascension Lutheran Church in Marion.
