Louise Marie Grant, 81, passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2024. A memorial service will be held on Sunday September 22, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Noelridge Park Church of which Louise was a longtime member.
Louise worked at Coe College, where she met Larry. They were married in Vinton, Iowa on December 6, 1968. She also worked at Holley’s Men’s Shop and Wendy’s. Louise was a grateful resident of the Northbrook Health Care facility. She enjoyed church, bible studies, tea parties, reading, adult coloring books, shopping, and a Wendy’s cheeseburger and fries.
Louise is survived by her niece Diane Gloede, sister-in-law Virginia Grant, nephew Mark Grant, niece Denise Tillett, and niece Pat Grant.
She was preceded in death by her husband Larry, brother James, father James T. Henkel, and mother Clara. She will be interred next to Larry at the Linwood (Murdoch) Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.
