Abraham Lee McNelly, 47, of rural Central City, passed away unexpectedly on Sept. 5 at his home. He was born June 17, 1977.
He is survived by his mother Cindy Hoke and stepfather Tom.
He also leaves behind four beautiful children, Kathryn, Jacob, Jessalyn and Mikayla, and a stepdaughter who he loved as his own, Mackenzie Butteris, 6 grandchildren, a stepbrother Destry, and the love of his life, Kerri Butteris.
He was preceded in death by his father Melvin (Buddy) McNelly, who was also his best friend, and his grandparents.
Abraham was a great outdoorsman. He loved fishing, mushroom hunting, living on the river. But above all he loved spending time with his family. his children and grandchildren had a very special place in his heart and his life.
He was a talented man that could fix just about everything he touched. He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.
The family will be holding a celebration of life on Oct. 5 at 1 p.m. at Pinicon Ridge Park, 4864 Horseshoe Falls Road, Central City.
