Jane Alice Omann, 80, formerly of Coralville, died peacefully at the Iowa River Hospice Home in Marshalltown on September 6.
A gathering to celebrate Jane’s life will be from 4 pm-6 pm on September 17 at Lensing Kirkwood Room, 515 Kirkwood Ave., Iowa City, where light refreshments will be served. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed toward The Food Bank, Table to Table or the Coralville Center for Performing Arts.
Jane is survived by her nieces Julie Omann Brandt of Baxter, Iowa, Michelle Gonzales of Newton, Iowa, Dondi Szombatfalvy of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, Catherine Stanley of San Rafael, California, and Erin O’Connor of Arlington, Virginia; and her nephews Chris O’Conner of Plainsboro, New Jersey, John O’Conner of Raleigh, North Carolina, Justin O’Conner of Long Beach, California, and Hank Doster of Edina, Minnesota; as well as several great-nieces and -nephews and Sister-in-Law Janice Omann of Iowa City.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Larry Omann and Philip Doster, sister Delores O’Conner and sister-in-law Pat Doster.
Jane’s family would like to recognize the love and care that Jane received from nurses Brandice Armstrong and Tonya Naughton in Iowa City, and the tireless, caring and compassionate care given by the Nurses, Support Staff and Aides at Glenwood Place, The Willows of Marshalltown and Iowa River Hospice in Marshalltown, Iowa.
