Patricia “Pat” Ann Landt, 87, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Linn Manor Care. Service: 10 a.m. Thursday at Teahen Funeral Home. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. and after 9 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial: Crystal Cemetery, Gladbrook.
Pat is survived by her children, Jeffrey Gillespie and Candace Gillespie both of Cedar Rapids, LeeAnn Landt of Nashville, TN, and Leonard (Laurie) Landt of Cedar Falls; 14 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; sister, Dolores Morrison; step-daughter, Tara Janey; and special friend of many years, Doris Boom.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Robert Gillespie; daughter-in-law, Faye Gillespie and siblings Kay Ham, Maurice “Bud” Christensen, Virginia Wahl, Harold Christensen, Gladys Hirsch, James Christensen, Donna Christensen and Don Christensen.
Pat was born on July 15, 1937, in Iowa City, the daughter of Mouritz and Blanche Miller Christensen. She worked as a machine operator at Square D for 33 ½ years, retiring in 2001. She also worked at Hy-Vee on Edgewood Rd. and tended bar at the Broken Drum. Pat was a proud and active lifetime member of Machinist Local #38. She served as the chief union steward, treasurer and was on the International Bargaining board. Pat loved the Lord and was baptized in 2001.
