IOWA CITY — Iowa football’s quest to reclaim the Floyd of Rosedale trophy will be in prime time.
The Hawkeyes’ Sept. 21 game at Minnesota will kick off at 6:30 p.m. and air on NBC, the team announced Monday. It will be Iowa’s second game on a major broadcast network, following last weekend’s Cy-Hawk game on CBS.
Iowa had won eight consecutive games against its northern Big Ten rival until Minnesota’s 12-10 win last year at Kinnick Stadium. The Gophers have a 63-52-2 advantage in the all-time series.
ESPN Analytics gives the Hawkeyes a 52.6 percent chance of winning this year’s game. Minnesota is 1-1 so far, with a 19-17 loss to North Carolina and a 48-0 win over Rhode Island.
