A sad irony: The oppressed becoming the victimizers

A few random thoughts on current events:
The most successful way for a politician to neutralize their opponent’s narrative is to co-opt it for themselves.
Trump’s chances for election would improve if he were to develop a case of laryngitis and/or sprain his wrist.
If illegal immigrants were eventually becoming Republicans, Harris and Biden would have begun constructing the border wall the day after their inauguration and 8 million immigrants ago.
If wealthy trust fund kids were forced to get real jobs, would the climate change movement collapse?
One of the sad ironies of history is that victims become perpetrators and the oppressed become victimizers. Some recent examples: the Hutu, the Shiites and the Israelis.
Iowa has been blessed with many hard-working Hispanic, Congolese and Pacific Islander immigrants who have values much like Iowans; but if Iowans wanted to experience the violence and crime, they would have move to Chicago.
The more generations people are removed from the farm, the further detached from reality they can become.
Iowans never like to be told who to love, how to spend their money or who they should vote for.
In Iowa, it is always OK to end your sentences with a preposition.
