David L. Vosdingh, 63, of Cedar Rapids, IA died August 18, 2024 following a short struggle with cancer.
Dave was born May 12, 1961 in Cedar Rapids to William and Janet Vosdingh. He graduated from Solon High School in 1979 where he played trumpet in band and was avid about tennis. Following high school, Dave had a long career in the food service industry, particularly with Perkins Restaurants where he won a national Super Spatula competition in 1991 for his abilities as a cook. Later on, Dave worked for Pizza Hut in Marion.
He had multiple interests over the years but was particularly adept at golf, darts, photography and, later in life, target shooting as a long-time member of the Isaak Walton League. Throughout his life, he was an avid patriot and Green Bay Packers fan.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. He is survived by his brothers, Steve of Granite Falls, NC and Mike of Cedar Rapids, IA in addition to his cat of many years, Bud.
