Barbara Sue Stanley-Bailey, 79, of Cedar Rapids, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 21, 2024. She was born February 20, 1945, in Webster City, Iowa, to the daughter of Floyd and Cleo (Hill) Powell.
She is survived by her children, Kathy (Eric) Medd of Blairstown, Tonja (Travis Presley) Forbes of Cedar Rapids, Dan (Siobhan) Stanley of Israel, Jeff (Delissa) Stanley of Ashley, Ohio. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, Stephanie Owens of Marion, Sean Hiepler of Blairstown, Stephen Hiepler of Blairstown, Cory (Nicole) Forbes of Belle Plaine, Aaron Presley of Cedar Rapids, Alanna Stanley of Scappoose, Oregon, Eli and Ellie Stanley of Ashley, Ohio. She had 5 great-grandchildren, Caylee, Natalie, Kass, Iliana and Miguel.
She is also survived by her sisters Lois Moses of Cedar Rapids, Donna (Alvin) Reif of Bertram, and brother, Eugene Powell of Pennsylvania.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Shirley Beach and Joan Powell, and a brother, Duane Powell.
She lived and worked in the Cedar Rapids area for most of her life, including Wilson Foods, Inc. for many years. Her hobbies were embroidery, reading, cooking, watching TV and reading her Bible.
No services are planned at this time.
