James “Jim” Donald Oppedahl, 82, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2024. Per his wishes, there will be no services.
Jim was born February 2, 1942, to Gilbert and Bernice (Hove) Oppedahl in Boone, Iowa. He proudly served in the U.S. Army reserves. He gave over twenty years of service to Penford. He enjoyed going fishing, cheering for the Cubs and Kansas City Chiefs, and shopping online. He loved his family and cherished the time spent with them.
He is survived by his sons, Steve Oppedahl (Emily Oppedahl), and Mark Oppedahl; grandchildren, Abbie, Dylan, Allen, Carley, Makenna, and Samuel; siblings, JoAnn, David, Iver, and Suzanne; along with many nieces and nephews.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings, Lloyd and Janice.
