Bohannan will advocate for women

Christina Bohannan is a proven politician. She strongly opposed drastic changes to Iowa’s Area Education Agencies, which our Republican governor still managed to wrangle into a policy that now affects smaller districts’ ability to pay for special education services. Bohannan continues to champion women’s rights to make decisions about their bodies and personhood. I am an educator, and I am a woman. I am old enough to remember the age of using hangers to abort unwanted pregnancies. Now, with such laws that are punitive in ways we could not have imagined thirty years ago, women are scared — some are dying. Both women and men are making decisions to not have children.
In Congress, we need a champion of our human rights in Washington, D.C. to help undo what has put our present into a dark age. We need someone who went from a trailer park who became a professor of law.
Bohannan demonstrates how opportunity can grow the middle class. As a lawyer, she understands the dire consequences of what is happening to women in Iowa and across America.
I urge you to trust in Christina’s great insight, experience and energy so we can go forward, not backward. Please consider voting for Christina Bohannan this November — she will listen to you with respect and advocate for your needs.
