‘All Iowans’ also includes Republicans

Bob Eckles (Friday August 9, “Support candidates who represent all Iowans”,) is right that if everyone would vote we would have a government that represents the people. But he and many of his pals assume all Iowans are Democrats. They need to recollect that our current Iowa legislature and officials are already elected and the majority currently are Republicans. Surprise!
Is it good to have so many of one party? I don’t think so because it ends the need for compromise. Now if we can just all remember that representing the citizens includes Republicans also.
