Janice Gamm
Fayette
Our Dear Janice Gamm passed away peacefully on August 12th, 2024. There will be a private graveside service at the Taylorville Cemetery in Arlington, Iowa. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island, is assisting the family.
Janice was born in 1936 in Fayette, Iowa. She married Ted Gamm in 1956, and they went on to have three amazing children, who they loved and adored.
Janice was a wonderful mother and grandmother who was always there when we needed her, providing support, wisdom and love in abundance. A close friend to many, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and strength. Janice always loved a good book, a good conversation and a good cup of coffee. In a world that can feel chaotic, she was a consistent and solid source of love and comfort for her family and friends. We will miss her presence deeply and will do our best to keep her spirit alive by embodying all of the qualities of love, kindness and strength.
Those left to honor her memory are her children; Greg (Rosanne) Gamm, Rapids City, SD, Jennifer Garvey (Eric Smith), Bettendorf, IA, Jeff (Kristie) Gamm, Colorado Springs, CO; seven grandchildren, Bridget, Bronwyn, Shaina, Amanda, Abigail, Jonathan, Stephen and Eben; five great grandchildren, Marilyn, Oliver, Jameson, Daphne and Vivian; and numerous other extended family members and close friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ted, brother, Norman and sister, Deb.
