Ronald George Rstom, 77, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at his home in Hiawatha, Iowa. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 16, 2024, at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, with military honors.
Ronald was born on January 1, 1947, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa son to George and Jeanette (Rorah) Rstom. He attended Regis High School and graduated in 1964. After high school, he joined the United States Navy and proudly served his country during Vietnam. He married Mary Williams on October 28, 1967, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. They later divorced, but to this union three children were born. Ron was employed by Essex Wire Company before retiring after 17 years of service. He adored his weekly lunch get togethers, with his mother, daughter Laura, and grandson, Jeramie. Ron will be missed dearly by those closest to him.
Ron is survived by his two daughters, Laura (David) Lambrecht of Mount Union, Iowa; and Leslie Bileth (Rick Williams) of Norton Shores, Michigan; a son, Jon (Teri) Rstom of Coggon, Iowa; sister, Sharon Turner of Lutz, Florida; eight grandchildren, and one great-grandson.
He was preceded by parents George and Jeanette Rstom, and two brothers Rick Rstom and Rory Rstom.
