Frances M Walby, 98, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2024, surrounded by her son and long-time friends, at Cottage Grove Place in Cedar Rapids.
Frances was born on July 25, 1926, in East Chicago, Indiana, the daughter of John Miller and Mary Louise Ellis. She was a graduate of Indiana State University and had a diverse career with a range of roles, including administrator in an insurance company, paralegal in a law firm, and auto transporter for Hertz.
Frances is survived by her loving Son, Robert, of Denver, Colorado; Her Grandson, Christian, of Plano, Texas; Her Granddaughter, Grace, of Boulder, Colorado; Her Great Grandson, Benjamin, of Plano, Texas; and her long-time and closest friends, Rick and Wendy Raue of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Frances was laid to rest in the Roselawn Cemetery in Terre Haute, Indiana.
