Charles "Chuck” Martin Betzer, 86, passed away July 17, 2024, at home.
Chuck was born in Jones County, IA to Willis and Lucca (McGovern) Betzer. He married Jacqueline, the daughter of Austin and Mary Coons in 1961 at St. Joseph Church in Stone City, IA. In Chuck’s earlier years he was a logger with his brother-in-law (friend) Larry. Then a Tires Salesman for, and later the owner/operator of Weldon Tire in Dubuque, IA.
He is survived by his wife Jackie Betzer, daughters Suzanne and Phil Staab and Robyn and DJ Stoll, his son Todd Betzer, his grandchildren Kaylea, Ivy, and Christopher Staab, Austin, Garrett, and Lexee Stoll, and Gabby and Will Betzer, a great grandson Rory Staab, a brother Russell Betzer, a sister Eunice Marquis, brothers-in-law Larry and Shirley Coons, Bill and Sharon Coons and Gerald Gray, as well as by many special nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at St. Joseph Oratory in Stone City, IA. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery in Anamosa.
