Adrian E. Glandon, Age 98, of Cedar Rapids, IA, passed away at the Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Adrian was born on July 7, 1926, in
Arnold, NE and was very proud of growing
up in the sandhills of Nebraska. He was
the
son of the late Earl William and Rose
Florinda (Hogg) Glandon. As a teenager
Adrian ran a feed and machine implement
store and worked on the railroad during
the
summer. He received his Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Nebraska. Adrian was a veteran of the US Navy. On June 28, 1958, Adrian married the love of his life, Carol Rasche. Adrian worked at Eastman Kodak before working for nearly 40 years at Collins Radio in many different departments.
Those left to cherish Adrian’s memory are his wife, Carol; his children, Beth (Lisa) Glandon, of Denver, CO, David (Buffey) Glandon, of Cedar Rapids, and Sarah (Tom) Stephenson; his grandchildren, Colin (Freya) Glandon, of Cedar Rapids, Cooper (Kamrie) Stephenson, and Parker Stephenson; his great-grandchildren, Arwen and Marion. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Robin, and his brother, Merwyn Glandon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to a charity of one’s choice.
